Reasons to finance a new air conditioner this summer

It’s a hot summer and it’s only just getting started. As the temperatures rise, the pressure on your current air conditioner increases, as well. For an older AC system, the question isn’t if it’s going to have a breakdown, it’s when. If you find yourself unexpectedly in need of a new air conditioner, you’ll need a new system—even if your budget isn’t ready for it. That’s where Reimer comes in.

We offer financing to customers with approved credit. To learn more about our financing offers, give Reimer a call. Here are just some of the benefits of using financing to purchase a new system.

Financing new air conditionersYou can get the right air conditioner

When you use cash to purchase a new system, you’re limited to what you have on-hand. However, that amount might only be enough to purchase a system that’s too small for your home, or lacks efficiency upgrades that will save you money over the years to come. You shouldn’t have to settle on a system that’s not a great fit just because you don’t have the exact cash for a better one.

With financing, you could use your current cash as a down payment and then pay for the remainder of the system over time. This allows you to get the system you need for your home without having to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

You can take advantage of seasonal specials

If you’ve been waiting to purchase a new air conditioning system until you have the right amount of cash, you could miss seasonal specials and incentives that greatly reduce the price of new systems. With financing from Reimer, you can purchase the new system when the time is right, allowing you to save money.

You can get an energy efficient system sooner

If your current system has been crawling along, an upgrade to a new system will allow you to reap the benefits of greater energy efficiency. The money you’ll save on your energy bills during the summer months isn’t insignificant. If you’re waiting until the end of the summer to upgrade until a new system, financing can help you save money over the three or four months where you use your air conditioning the most.

You get working AC sooner

This is one of the more obvious reasons. Every day you delay is another day that your family will have to spend in the heat of summer. By applying for financing, you can get your new AC system sooner than if you had to save up cash to pay for it.

Reimer is your source for sewer cleaning

Automatic Water Heater Shut OffSewers do not have a positive reputation. Synonymous with rats, roaches, and other unmentionable things, sewers are things people tend to avoid thinking about on a regular basis—for good reason. Yet, your sewer performs a very important function in your home, carrying waste and water away from your residence. And if things go wrong with your sewer, they go seriously wrong. That’s why Reimer Home Services offers sewer cleaning as just one of our many plumbing repair services.

Sewers can have major problems that impact their ability to remove waste and liquid, ranging from blockages to tree roots breaking through them. In this blog post, Reimer will help you determine if you have a problem and will run through the professional-grade methods that we use to clear and clean sewers out.

Where does the grease go?

Grease is a natural byproduct of most cooking, and—unfortunately—the first instinct most people have is to wash it out of the dish and down the sink drain. The problem is that grease is adept at transforming from a liquid to a solid, conglomerating into a mass by the time it reaches the sewer. In large enough sewers with enough grease byproduct draining into them, this mess can result in the formation of grease boulders in the pipe. Eventually, this mass grows large enough to partially obstruct the flow out of the sewer, or completely block it.

This is why most people recommend taking grease out of the sink and instead storing into a container until it solidifies and can be thrown away safely. Good for future reference, but—if you haven’t been doing that—you may already have a problem.

A clot in the sewer pipe

If grease does partially or completely block off the pipe, the first thing you’ll notice in your home is that all of our drains—from the kitchen sink to the shower to the guest bathroom toilet—are not draining simultaneously. It’s important that you immediately stop using water and call Reimer. A sewer blockage is a serious problem that could result in your home flooding.

How do we treat sewers

When you need to have your sewer cleaned, we’ll dispatch an experienced and trained technician to your home. Using a specialized camera attached to a snake tool, we’ll inspect the sewer and find the point of blockage. From that point, we can apply a number of treatments, depending on the type, size, and severity of the blockage:

  • Rotating snake tool
  • Water jet application
  • Root cutters

Once we’ve cleared the obstruction, we’ll once again use the camera tool to inspect the sewer and confirm that it’s clear and things are working once again. Through every step of the process, you’ll be informed about what we’re doing and how things are going.
